About the designer:
Emily, founder and lead designer grew up on Amelia Island. A love for the natural world and landscape of the island including the flora+fauna, marshes and ocean is her constant inspiration. She has been in the event industry for over 17 years from managing her dad's company (still today), Saltmarsh Hospitality Group, other venues in the Jacksonville area and working with some of the top florists over the years and was honored to work with HGTV as the designer for the "dream home" along Sherwin Williams as the designer for an event highlighting "the color of the year." Whether the event is an intimate baby shower or a large scale wedding or corporate event, Emily loves getting to know her clients personally and believes that flowers are the storytellers of the event. From garden parties, intimate tablescape's and ocean front gatherings, we’re well-versed in the art of a fine fête.
A few fun facts about Emily:
Her favorite flower: very hard to pick just one, but I would have to say a parrot tulip. I just look at them in awe every time!
Favorite color: buttery yellow
Favorite hobbies: Hanging out with her daughter & husband, anything near or in the ocean, nature walks and bird watching, Pilates and cooking for friends and family. Soups in particular is my love language!
Favorite animal: manatee, close second my black pug, Winnie
Favorite food: being vegetarian since the age of five, I have lived on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and beans, salad and veggies for most of my life! I would say Asian noodle dishes and tacos are my ultimate favorites!
Favorite part of your job: Meeting new people and really understanding the vision and overall feel of the event- then of course, design days when I turn on my music and as I tell my family, "I am now in design mode!"
